A little protection goes a long way

Help protect your boiler and heating system

Your heating system works hard to keep your home warm. Over time, corrosion debris and other particles can circulate through the pipework. A suitable system filter helps collect this debris before it continues around the system.

We fit ADEY MagnaClean, Fernox TF1, Worcester Bosch and Ideal system filters. We also use Fernox inhibitors and suitable antifreeze treatments for park homes, helping protect both new installations and existing heating systems.

Filters and water treatment we use

Protection from trusted manufacturers

Included with every new boiler installation

We fit a suitable system filter with every new boiler installation, alongside system cleaning and inhibitor treatment. For domestic installations in England, Part L guidance calls for preparation and commissioning to BS 7593, which includes in-line filtration.

We explain how to look after your filter and check ongoing system protection during maintenance.

ADEY MagnaClean

We fit MagnaClean magnetic filters to help capture magnetic corrosion debris circulating through your heating system. Trapping these particles helps protect components such as pumps and heat exchangers.

We select a suitable filter for your pipework and leave access for future cleaning and maintenance.

Example shown: MagnaClean Professional2.

Fernox TF1 filters

We also fit filters from the Fernox TF1 range. Designed for domestic heating systems, suitable TF1 models capture circulating debris as part of a complete system-protection approach.

We will recommend a model to suit your system, available space and maintenance needs.

Example shown: a Fernox TF1 system filter.

Worcester Bosch Greenstar System Filter

We fit Worcester Bosch Greenstar System Filters to help capture circulating contaminants before they reach your boiler. A suitable filter supports a clean, protected heating system.

We select a suitable filter for your installation and leave access for ongoing cleaning and servicing.

Ideal System Filter

The Ideal System Filter provides magnetic filtration to help collect corrosion debris from circulating heating water. We fit suitable filters as part of Ideal boiler installations and system-protection work.

We check the pipework and available space so your filter can be maintained in line with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Fernox inhibitors

We use Fernox inhibitors to help protect heating systems against corrosion and limescale. Inhibitor works alongside a suitable filter and proper system cleaning; each has a different job.

Our team can check protection levels and advise on treatment when carrying out installation or maintenance work.

Example shown: Fernox Protector F1.

Antifreeze for park homes

Park-home heating systems may need additional protection during cold weather. We use suitable Fernox antifreeze products to provide frost and corrosion protection where appropriate for the installation.

We assess the system and select the correct treatment and concentration in line with the manufacturer’s guidance.

Example shown: Fernox Antifreeze Protector Alphi-11.

Fitted properly. Looked after properly.

Choosing and fitting your filter

Our team will recommend a suitable location with access for maintenance. We can discuss filter options during a boiler survey, service or heating-system assessment.

Cleaning and ongoing care

Filters need checking and cleaning in line with the manufacturer’s guidance. Let us know if you already have a filter when arranging your service so we can discuss the care it needs.

Does a filter remove existing sludge?

A filter collects debris that passes through it; it does not replace cleaning a system that is already heavily contaminated. If you have cold spots on radiators, unusual noises or poor circulation, we can assess the cause and explain whether cleaning or other work is appropriate.
